Racing tips: Templegate NAP running in his own cup final at 13-2 in huge race at Newcastle on Saturday

ECLAIR SURF (3.15 Newcastle, nap)
He came into his own when trying a proper marathon trip in the Warwick Classic last time. He jumped really well and kept pulling out more to win by 13 lengths.
It was a competitive race so that was an excellent effort. He’s not likely to get a run in the Grand National so this is his cup final and he can win it.
EXALTED ANGEL (1.30 Lingfield, nb)
He was a typical Lingfield hard-luck story last time as he finished full of running but the line came too soon.
He will need a bit of luck to come from behind but has enough speed to do it.
ANNSAM (3.37 Kempton, treble)
He was much improved for stepping up to this trip for a convincing success at Ascot in December.
The little bit of give in the ground suited but he’s happy in quicker conditions too. It’s still early days over fences so there should be a lot more to come.
