Molly-Mae Hague asks fans if she should post getaway shots ‘given everything that’s happening in the world’

Molly-Mae Hague faced a dilemma as she was unsure whether it was appropriate to post her getaway shots given current world issues.
The influencer, 22, has vowed to use her platform of 6.2million to ‘raise awareness’ of important issues.
Molly-Mae took to Instagram to reveal that she’s been away on a work trip shooting for a campaign, but felt ‘guilty’ about living ‘life as normal.’
Referring to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, she posted on her story: ‘Given everything that’s happening in the world right now I feel it’s impossible to carry on with life as normal without feeling guilty.’
She continued: ‘I’m currently away for work shooting a campaign but haven’t known whether to share as usual for the people that come on Instagram to escape.’
She then added a poll so her followers could vote for her to ‘keep you updated’ or ‘not at the moment.’

‘I care about you guys so much and how my content makes you all feel.’
After around 70% of respondents voted in favour of Molly-Mae sharing her usual content, she added another story.
‘I’ve been reading everyone’s dms and it’s really helped me understand how everyone’s feeling right now.
‘I’m going to continue posting for the majority that want me to,’ she wrote.
Signing off, the PrettyLittleThing creative director added: ‘My dms are always open. I really want to find other ways I can continue using my platform to raise awareness.’
On the slide, the former Love Island star shared screen grabs of messages from her followers with their opinions on the topic.
‘Thank you for thinking to ask us. Please keep posting whilst still raising awareness,’ one wrote.
‘It’s a really scary time right now and watching your stories always calms me,’ added another.
The social media star went on to highlight resources where people can educate themselves on the attacks in Ukraine and offer donations.

Molly-Mae’s posts come just after she insisted she ‘can’t keep everyone happy,’ despite putting an ‘extreme amount of thought’ into everything she says.
Her remark follows increased criticism of PLT after protests outside a fashion show last week, as well as backlash Molly-Mae herself has received after her controversial comments on success and wealth on a recent podcast.
