“My biggest flex is being able to fit into kids trainers and getting them half price,” the woman wrote on the video.

She captioned the clip: “Deffo the best flex everrrrr .”

While she was showing off some colourful Nike trainers, the price different is clear to see by comparing Air Force 1s on the Nike site.

The children’s version of the shoes, which go up to a size 6 (European size 39), cost £69.95.

However, the women’s version of the shoes – which are barely any different at all – retail for £109.95.

And Nike isn’t the only trainers retailer you can save at if you have feet smaller than a size 6 – the UK average women’s shoe size.

The adidas Superstar trainers cost £50 in the kids’ range – which go up to a size 5.5 – while the women’s ones cost £80.

Meanwhile, Reebok’s classic leather shoes cost £70 in the women’s range, but £45 if you buy the kids’ sneakers – which go up to a size 5.

And kids’ Vans’ Old Skool V Shoes cost £40 up to a size 5.5, while the women’s Old Skool shoes – the only difference being laces instead of velcro – retail for £65.
