Dana White Says UFC Is ‘Working’ on Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz 3- Claims He Would Be ‘Shocked if That Fight Didn’t Happen’

UFC’s head honcho Dana White just confirmed that the premier promotion is working on the final trilogy fight between UFC megastar Conor McGregor and Stockton’s own MMA legend Nate Diaz.

The UFC has been trying to put together this super-fight for a lot of time. However, scheduling problems alongside the rising stardom of the Irishman have always put a blockade on their plans.

Immediately after their second fight at UFC 202 in 2016, ‘The Notorious’ created history after he became the first double-division champion of the UFC. And since then, he never put his feet on the ground.

However, in a recent interview, UFC President Dana White confirmed that he and the top brass of the UFC are working on the trilogy bout between both the legendary fighters.

“We are still working on that fight. That fight’s not done yet. But yeah, I wouldn’t count out a Conor [vs.] Nate 3. Listen, I’d be shocked if that fight didn’t happen,” White told TMZ Sports.

Dana White opens up on Conor McGregor’s comeback

This comes amidst the Irishman’s recent revelations of returning to the sport in June or July 2022. White, when asked to elaborate on the same, also confirmed that it is indeed the approximate date of his return to MMA action.

“Yeah, you know, he’s chomping at the bits to come back. Realistically, when you look at everything that he’s got going right now with coming back and other things that need to be done to get ready to prepare again, it’s probably early fall.”
