Never hand your iPhone to someone without locking your Photos app first

YOUR iPhone is filled with your private information – so you need to make sure it’s secure.

If you’re handing your iPhone to someone, they could very easily check out your pictures.

That’s bad news if you’ve got any very personal images on there.

But you might also want to hide photos of gift ideas, weight loss progress, or cheeky memes.

Whatever the case, it’s reasonable for you to not want someone to take a look at your photos.

Someone could even accidentally swipe onto your Photos app without meaning too.

Thankfully, there’s a clever hack to stop people from using your iPhone’s Photos app.

It was shared by TikTok creator @katamogz, where it’s racked up thousands of likes.

Go into Settings then tap on Screen Time.

Then choose App Limits and press Add Limit.

Click on Creativity and then choose Photos.

Go through to adding the Limit, and then select a time limit of one minute.

Now when you tap on your Photos app, you’ll be told you’ve reached your limit usage.

Sadly, it’s possible to get around this by tapping ‘Ignore Limit’.

But there’s another trick that adds a passcode requirement for skipping limits.

Go into Screen Time again, scroll down and then choose Use Screen Time Passcode.

This means that someone won’t be able to ignore the Screen Time limit unless they know your Passcode.

Using this setting means you’ll also have to enter your Passcode when you enter the Photos app.

This might be fine for you, or you could simply set up the Limit just before you pass your phone to someone.

Either way, it’s a clever method of restricting people from accidentally (or purposefully) having a sneak peek at your Photos app.

As always, the best advice to avoid snooping is to keep your phone locked – and don’t let anyone use it.
