Massive News From Andy Murray Camp as He Re-Hires Multiple-Time Grand Slam Champion
In what can be considered a pleasant surprise for tennis fans across the globe, former world no.1 Andy Murray decides to re-hire his ex-coach, the legendary Ivan Lendl. The Brit is yet to make his announcement public, but from the initial reports, it’s confirmed that the duo are back once again and they will start their preparations once Murray finishes his stint at the Sunshine Double.
Lendl is undoubtedly the best coach Murray had in his long career. The Czech initially joined Murray’s team in 2011 and continued his partnership till 2014. While there was a break in between, the player-coach duo got back together as Lendl’s guidance took Murray to the summit of the men’s tour.

Also, Andy won all his three major titles with Lendl by his side and it’s only fair that the champion player went back to his most successful coach to have one more partnership in the final leg of his career.
Lendl will look to bring Murray in the best shape possible ahead of this year’s grass court season. Murray already announced his decision to skip the entire clay-court season. An important thing to note here is the fact that the Brit will have an additional coach to his team, who will regularly accompany him on tour.

It’ a welcome move from Andy Murray to have an experienced coach like Ivan Lendl back in his den once again as they look to figure out if they can achieve something big together, especially at Wimbledon this year. While it’s true that Murray managed to get himself placed inside the top-100 on rankings, his lack of consistency would be a major hurdle that faces Lendl immediately.
According to the latest reports, Lendl and Murray will spend time in the USA after the Miami Masters in an extended training session headed by the legendary tennis player and coach. While predicting the results at this moment is too early, having Ivan Lendl by his side will be a huge morale booster for the three-time Grand Slam champion, Andy Murray.
