I paid £570 for a ‘lip flip’ but it went wrong – people keep telling me I look like Homer Simpson, I’m gutted
BEAUTY DOESN’T come cheap, but if you’re paying out for a cosmetic procedure, you want your face to look perfect, right?
Well one woman named Jade revealed that she paid a whopping $750 (£567) for a ‘lip flip’ treatment, but it’s left her face covered in brown burns.

Jade took to TikTok to share her story after having the procedure done and it’s left many people open-mouthed.
She uploaded the video with the caption ‘Thank you for listening to my Ted talk’.
In the video, Jade explains the procedure she has had done and shows off the results.
She said: “This is my video explaining what the hell is on my face because when I do tell them, they don’t know what I’m talking about. So this is me killing all of those questions in one video.
“What this is, is these are all little dots, little burns – it burns your flesh, I could smell it.
“Basically what it’s going to do, is when it heals, it’s going to tighten my skin and flip my lip upwards, making my lips appear bigger, because they will be bigger.

“It’s a lip filip basically.
“They do the same thing with a breast lift and crow’s feet.
“It’s f**king awesome.”
Jade revealed that she paid $750 for the treatment and explained that her face will look this way for two weeks, but then the final results will show in 8-12 weeks.
Although Jade’s face is left with burns while it heals, she is excited to see the finished results.

However, many TikTok users couldn’t believe how her face looked, with many commenting that she looked like Homer Simpson.
Many TikTok users commented on Jade’s video and said that this procedure is called fibroblasting.
Fibroblasting is a non-surgical skin tightening treatment that utilises plasma microbeams to trigger the production of collagen and elastin – two essential components for healthy, firm skin.
This treatment is an alternative to injections or surgical therapies and is a fairly new treatment to the cosmetic scene.
Jade’s video has clearly got people talking, as in just two days of being live on TikTok, it has racked up a whopping 1.4million views.
It has 172.2k likes, 1,477 comments and 773 shares.
Many TikTok users were shocked at Jade’s face and took to the comments to express this.
One person said: “There’s no way dealing with that side effect is worth the end result.”
Another added: “I thought you went crazy with some chocolate.”
A third commented: “The things we people do…”

However, there were also many TikTokers that were tempted by the treatment.
One user commented: “That’s actually really cool.”
Another added: “Wait I wanna do that.”

For other real life beauty stories, I got cheap lip filler and was left with awful blood blisters – I looked like a monster.
As well as this, this person drank after having lip filler – it’s the worst thing they’ve ever done.
If that wasn’t enough, this woman got lip filler and it went badly wrong – everyone is saying she looks like a character from the Grinch.
