After all, it’s going to be on your body for life, so you want it to be perfect, right?

Unfortunately, no matter how much time you take on the design process, there’s no guarantee that the inking will turn out exactly as you’d hoped…as one woman found out.

Alexandria, who is from the US, took to TikTok and shared a snap of the simple peace sign tattoo she asked for.

However, what she ended up with was something completely different – and instead looked like a black smudge behind her ear.

And it wasn’t long before social media users took to the comments section to discuss the tattoo fail.

“My mum got one of a peace sign and it looks like a pretzel,” wrote one.

A second commented: “Why I have commitment issues with tattoos. I wouldn’t mind one but I will want it gone. Especially if it doesn’t turn put well.”

Meanwhile, a third added: “Oh shoot…you could always change it to a bowling ball or maybe a magic 8 ball….”

Alexandria responded: “Funny thing, I went to a tattoo shop and asked how it could be fixed & they said… a black dot or an 8 ball.”
