What is Christine Brown doing now?

Since leaving Sister Wives in November 2021, Christine Brown, 49, has moved on to pursue her love of cooking.

In a surprise announcement on February 20, 2022, TLC and Brown said they were partnering to bring Brown’s culinery skills to viewers in her new show, Cooking with Just Christine.

Brown and TLC each posted a teaser video of the new show on Instagram with the caption, “A taste of something new! #SisterWives’ Christine will be bringing you some of her favorite recipes on the new digital series #CookingWithJustChristine.”

Her recipes are simple with easy-to-follow steps and in her video, Brown says viewers may know her from her public marriage to Kody Brown on Sister Wives, but said what they may not know if how much she loves to cook.

“(My recipes are) not only delicious but super easy to make,” she says in the video, adding, “So, get your apron ready!”

The teaser reveals Brown will be joined by her children Truely, 11, and Mykelti, 25.

Cooking with Just Christine airs every Sunday on TLC.com.

Why did Christine Brown leave leave her husband?

Brown decided to leave her husband, Kody Brown, in November 2021, announcing that they had grown apart.

It was in an Instagram post that the 49-year-old mother of four said she would be leaving her husband and the show.

Their relationship changed during the Covid-19 pandemic when Kody Brown made demands that Christine Brown didn’t agree with.

Kody Brown told his wives they were not permitted to leave their homes and interact with each other, the same went for their children, but he would switch between homes.

This decision angered both Christine Brown and Janelle Brown, however, the final straw to end their relationship, was when Kody Brown said he no longer wanted an intimate relationship with Christine.

“He said, ‘I’m not interested in having an intimate marriage anymore,’” Christine explained in the episode. “I’m not OK staying in a marriage where there’s no intimacy.”

After her split from Kody Brown, she later sent a cameo video to a fan thanking them for their unwavering support.

“The decision was a long time coming and I feel like a much better person divorced than I ever did,” she said. “Life is so great. I had no idea life could be simple.”

Kody Brown was married to two other women when he and Christine Brown tied the knot in 1994, and the two have four children together – son Paedon, 23, and daughters Aspyn, 26, Mykelti, 25, Gwendlyn, 20, Ysabel, 18, and Truely, 11.

“It’s a phenomenal world. It’s a whole new world. I hope Kody and I can still remain friends through this,” Christine said in a video discussing co-parenting with her ex-husband.

“We’ve been high-key communicating with each other and stuff. We have good and bad days, don’t get me wrong. But, we have a life still together after this because we have kids to raise and Truley’s 11. So we have to be good and amiable and things like that. I think it’s just important to remember that.”

Is Christine Brown still on Sister Wives?

Christine Brown’s son, Paedon, responded to a query on TikTok in January from a fan asking if his mom would be returning for the next season of Sister Wives.

Paedon Brown responded saying Sister Wives is in the midst of filming season 17 but did not clarify if his mom will be on the show.

While her Instagram bio still says she is a part of the show, whether she will be in the next season is still not confirmed.

Fans can watch Sister Wives on Philo, Hulu Live TV, Sling TV, DIRECTV, YouTube TV, and Fubo TV.
