You need to turn these iPhone settings on NOW or someone could spy on you
A TIKTOKER has highlighted a handy iPhone hack that could one day save your bacon.
In a recent video, user @kaansanity showed a string of device settings that you can change to protect your mobile from thieves.

The trick is designed to ensure that pickpockets or muggers cannot turn your phone’s AirPlane Mode on in order to conceal it.
This is a tactic that crooks use to stop you from viewing your iPhone’s location using Apple’s device-tracking Find My feature.
“Let’s say your phone gets stolen,” Kaansanity told his five million TikTok followers in an upload last week.
“The thief is gonna turn on Airplane Mode so that you can’t see the location.”
Even without your iPhone Passcode, a ne’er-do-well can activate this setting using Control Centre.
That’s the menu you can access from the lock screen that gives you instant access to useful controls.
Kaansanity explained how to block this easy workaround in his video.
In your iPhone Settings, go to Face ID and Passcode and turn off Control Centre.

This requires anyone with their hands on your mobile to enter a correct Face ID or Passcode to access the Control Centre.
For added security, the TikToker also recommended heading to the same Settings page and turning off USB accessories.
This secures your texts and photos by ensuring that anyone with your phone needs to unlock it before plugging in a data-hoovering cable.
Kaansanity’s final piece of advice is to make sure that location services are switched on so Find My can do its thing.
To do that, head to Settings and then Privacy > Location Services.
Then, under Settings > Find my iPhone and turn all three of the available options on by hitting the slider so it turns green.
What is Finy My?
Apple has designed your iPhone so it can be found even if it’s turned off.
There are several ways to track a lost iPhone – so don’t panic if you’ve misplaced yours.
If you forget your iPhone at the office, the Find My Phone app makes it easy to track the device on a map.
This even works if the device is off.
That’s because Apple has built Ultra Wideband tech into some recent iPhone models.
So other iPhones or Apple devices that have been nearby the handset will “ping” it to Apple’s Find My network.
All you need is someone with an Apple device to have moved near the iPhone, and it will appear on the map – even if it’s off.
You can access Find My via another Apple device or by singing in to iCloud on a browser.
