“Brendan dancing first again? give me a break,” tweeted one angry fan.
Many fumed on Twitter after fans claimed last week that the ballroom dancer had been given an advantage in the ITV series by being the first celeb to take to the ice each week.
Brendan made it through to the final after earning a perfect score from the Dancing On Ice judges for a second week running.
The former Strictly Come Dancing professional secured 40 points for his skate to Let’s Face The Music And Dance from the film Follow The Fleet, after ending his routine with a successful headbanger move.
The celebrity contestants performed routines to songs personal to them and also attempted a solo skate.
Brendan will compete in next week’s final against former Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt and Regan Gascoigne.
This week he opened up about “things are getting personal” amid reports of tension rising backstage.
The 45-year-old dancer wrote on social media: “An exciting weekend ahead… a double elimination and things are getting personal!”
He reposted a video from Dancing On Ice, which read: “It’s the Semi-Final and our couples are skating to some very personal songs, as well as taking on a scary solo skate and facing a double elimination #DancingOnIce.”
The former Strictly pro, who is partnered with skating professional Vanessa Bauer, is one of the favourites to win this year’s competition.

Brendan studied pasodoble, ballroom and ballet when he was younger before competing for his native New Zealand in pro dance competitions.
He won his first ever series of Strictly Come Dancing with Natasha Kaplinsky and featured in 15 series before his contract ended in 2018.
Earlier this week a source claimed that the stars have all been “training like crazy” to be crowned the 2022 champion.
They recently told OK!: “This year, the show is the most competitive it’s ever been.
“They all want to win it and the standard is so high. You could cut the atmosphere with a knife, you can really feel the tension.
“They’re all training like crazy. Nobody is interested in being second, they all want to win.”
