I was slammed for telling a barmaid to go TOPLESS while pulling pints – if you don’t like it don’t come to my pub

A LEWD landlord has been slammed after telling a barmaid to go TOPLESS while pulling pints in his Dorset boozer.

Glenn Chadwick, who runs Hardy’s Pub in the rural village of Dorchester, hosted the raunchy event to entice and excite his punters.

Landlord Glenn Chadwick defended the topless night at Hardy’s Pub in Dorset

However, he was branded “out of touch” by some horrified locals who were disgusted by the scantily-clad servers.

But Glen, who lives near Prince Charles’ “dream village”, defended his risqué stunt, saying it was “no different from hosting a stag do”.

The landlord held his first event on February 26, which saw one brave barmaid go topless for the evening, parading her charms in front of ogling men as she pulled their pints.

Due to the success of his naughty night and in defiance of complaints, Glen decided to stage another event just a week later.

This time two barmaids were supposed to give punters double the eyeful – but ended up donning “sexy outfits” instead.

Glenn explained: “I have spoken to licensing at Dorset Council and they have told me I’m legally allowed to do it.

“It’s no different to having a stripper come in for a stag do.

“Licensing doesn’t like it and would prefer I would not hold these events.

“I would tell people who have a problem to not come to these nights out. No one is forcing them to.

“The events were held between 10pm and midnight, and they were not for men only.

“Women were also in attendance, some of whom were wearing less than the barmaids.”

He said he can only hold a topless night once every 28 days due to licensing restrictions and there must be only 11 such events held a year.

“I’m not breaking any law as long as I abide by the current restrictions, which I am doing,” Glen added.

“Unfortunately, after the abuse, I’ve got from some people about the topless night, I’ve been put off from holding any more similar events in the future.”

Hardy’s Pub is a stones throw away from Poundbury, where Prince Charles masterminded the building of hundreds of houses in the Royal vision of what a rural “village” should look like.

Glen’s smutty staff dress code has caused outrage amongst conservative locals, who said the nights were “degrading to women”.

One said: “This is the sort of Carry On stunt that pubs and clubs did in the 1970s – I thought we’d moved on from that.”

Dorset Council said “We have had a meeting with the area manager and we understand that the matter has now been resolved.”
