The Chase viewers all have the same complaint about Emmerdale celebrity special

ITV viewers have been accustomed to new episodes of The Chase.

But they were rattled when Bradley Walsh welcomed Emmerdale stars in the programme, realising the episode was actually a re-run.

Amid schedule changes and cancellations notably due to the FA Cup, ITV has given its loyal viewers a hard time these past few weeks.

Unfortunately for them, Sunday was no different with what could have been a successful instalment of The Chase.

As they tuned in to last night’s episode of the quiz show, fans were thrilled to find out it was a celebrity edition with four Emmerdale stars ready to compete.

Amy Walsh, Mark Charnock, Matthew Wolfenden and Charley Webb took on Paul Sinha in a bid to win thousands of pounds in honour of their favourite charity.

However, there was one problem as Bradley grilled the actors with a series of knowledge questions.

Viewers took to Twitter upon realising that the celebrity special was not only a re-run from 2018 but was also aired on more than one instance.

One viewer fumed: “Repeat Repeat Repeat !!! Round and round this episode goes!!” as another chimed in: “How long are ITV going to constantly fill our screens with repeats on Sundays?? Thank God for Netflix.”

A third jumped in: “ITV have repeated this episode of The Chase more times than they’ve repeated the b****y Harry Potter films.”

Another commented: “I’ve lost count the amount of times they’ve repeated this episode.”

Some fans went as far as to complain about celebrity specials of The Chase in general.

“I hate celebrity versions. 1. I don’t know who they are”, one of them wrote, “2. The laughter track is turned up to number 11. 3. Too much time is spent massaging the egos of ‘celebrities’ who I’ve never seen before and I’m not interested in.”

This viewer then conceded: “Apart from that, I’m enjoying it.”

In case some have missed out on the instalment, on Sunday or any other occasion, Charley was sent home after the second round when she failed to beat the Sinnerman.

Her teammates made it through to the final round, scoring a whopping £14,000 jackpot for their chosen charities.

Amy, Mark and Matthew then gained 21 points but quizzer Paul managed to match the impressive score during the final round, with only one second left on the clock.
