I’m a hairstylist – why re-straightening and re-curling your hair every day is a really BAD idea
IF you’re in a jiff, going back over your hair with the curler or straightener to freshen up your style may seem like a good idea.
Sadly, you’re likely doing more harm than good.

According to hairstylist and creative director for Evo Hair, Tom Smith, applying heat to previously styled hair can compound the amount of damage.
He explained on social media: “This puts extra pressure on the bonds of your hair and can cause much more pressure than just re-washing starting again.”
The last thing you want is to cause more damage to your hair, resulting in dry, brittle locks and split-ends.
Instead, Smith provided several options to try if re-washing your hair and starting from scratch is a bit too time-consuming.
He wrote: “Try an up-do, adding a little serum or oil, or changing your parting to refresh your hair, rather than going at it with heat again!”
Previously, one hair care whizz named Jennifer Godina shared the three things you can do to stop hair loss.
Jennifer’s first tip is to not use conditioner on your scalp.
She also recommends using lukewarm water when washing your hair over hot water.
