Saudi Super Golf League: Tournament Dates and Venues Revealed for 2022 Series

The Saudi Super Golf League is happening! After what seemed like a decade, updates about the PGA Tour’s rival league are out now! And just as many feared, the schedule of the Saudi event does clash with some of the PGA events.

Golf Digest’s writer Dan Rapaport has disclosed the latest news about the League on his Twitter page.

Here are the sites and dates for LIV Golf’s International series.

Last three events are in fall, so not clear what they’ll coincide with until Tour releases 2022-23 schedule. But the first 3 compete with:

According to Rapaport, the League will begin its first-ever tournament in the second week of June this year. And the first three tournaments will coincide with PGA Tour’s three events.

The RBC Canadian Open that begins on June 6th and the John Deere Classic that begins on June 29 have their dates clashed with the first two Saudi events. Moreover, the third League tournament is set right in the middle of the Rocket Mortgage Classic; the Classic begins on June 28 and ends on July 4th.

Dates, Venues, and more about the Saudi Super Golf League

According to the golf writer, golf courses around the world are set to host Saudi events. While the USA hosts the majority of the events, the League has chosen England, Thailand, and Saudi Arabia as other hosts.

The League will begin its journey from the Centurion Golf Club of London on June 9th and then proceed to play in four different cities in the USA. Pumpkin Ridge in Portland, Trump National Golf Club in New Jersey, the International in Boston, and Rich Harvest Farms in Chicago would host the tournaments in the USA.

The Stonehill in Bangkok will host the first of the last three Saudi League events, whereas the Royal Greens Golf Club of Jeddah will host the next event. The last competition is named as Team Championship, according to Rapaport. Although the Championship is scheduled from October 28th to 30, the host is yet to be revealed.

As the rival of the PGA Tour, most of the Tour players have declined offers from the League so far. There were speculations that some players have indeed joined the Saudi event. However, neither the League nor the Tour officials have made any official announcements regarding the matter. Only time can tell how many of the familiar faces have joined the Tour’s rival event.
