Comic Relief viewers stunned by Lenny Henry’s dramatic weight loss as he returns to host charity show
COMIC Relief host Lenny Henry revealed his dramatic weight loss as he opened tonight’s show.
The 63-year-old founded the charity in 1985 with screenwriter Richard Curtis in response to a huge famine in Ethiopia, Africa.

He has been presenting the BBC show ever since – and tonight returned showing off his new look.
One viewer said: “3 things I noticed as #comicrelief started. 1) Lenny Henry has lost LOADS of weight. 2) Alisha Dixon appears to be wearing her trousers back to front. 3) David Tennant is much shorter than I thought.”
Someone else added: “You know when you’ve not seen someone for ages and you don’t recognise them , I just did that with Lenny Henry.”
Another said: “Wow Lenny Henry looks amazing.”
A fan added: “Bloody hell Lenny Henry looks incredible!”
Lenny had first began to shed weight back in 2014 when he revealed he was a “little bit diabetic”.

He went on to lose three stone, telling fans: “Well, it’s down to eating broccoli and not much else. I’ve also been running a lot. It has worked.”
Lenny added: “I’m a bit diabetic, so I was put on a very strict diet.
“I’ve lost between two and a half and three stone.
“I was big.”
