Mike Tyson Tells Anthony Joshua to Step Back From the Usyk Fight
Unified heavyweight world champion Oleksandr ‘The Cat’ Usyk handed Anthony Joshua a lopsided beat down in their original clash in September 2021 and snatched the heavyweight belts in style. It came in as AJ’s second professional loss and derailed hopes of an all-British undisputed clash against Tyson Fury.
However, Anthony Joshua has vowed to win back his belts in a rematch. That said, Mike Tyson delivered some commendable advice to the former champion.
In a recent chat on his podcast, ‘The Baddest Man On The Planet’ said, “I think Joshua…I think he could be still learning some stuff.”
“I wouldn’t fight him right away unless I have had him in the gym with guys that are really awkward left-hand fighters. Because you know he is really outboxing, smart. He wasn’t prepared to handle a guy with a good jab.”

As Anthony Joshua stepped up against Oleksandr Usyk as a massive favorite, the in-ring outcome proved to be a shocker.
Joshua tried to tactically beat Oleksandr Usyk, but ‘The Cat’s movement bamboozled him. Hence, Joshua now needs to secure a dominant win to re-establish his surge in the heavyweight division.
Anthony Joshua can return shortly
Joshua vs Usyk 2 could be a potential fight, which makes sense for all the reasons. However, Oleksandr Usyk, who is reportedly back home in Ukraine, does not know when he will return to the boxing ring.
Amid such a situation, ‘AJ’ can opt for an interim fight before challenging for the world titles. Per reports, Frank Warren has already proposed a fight between AJ and Joe Joyce. While ‘Juggernaut’ Joyce and Joshua have also bantered on social media, that fight can be a prominent heavyweight contest.
