Radio 1 Big Weekend 2022: Date, line-up and where the festival will be this year

Radio 1’s Big Weekend is back for 2022 after a two-year break due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, and fans could not be more excited. 

Taking place in May, the hugely popular music festival will bring together some of the biggest artists across one weekend. 

The event, which is hosted by BBC Radio 1, is held in a different location in the UK each year since it began in 2000.

While the show was unable to run in 2020 and 2021 due to social distancing measures and restrictions placed on large-scale live events, it is set to come back with a bang in 2022. 

Showcasing a variety of artists from across BBC Radio 1’s roster, there’s bound to be something for everyone to get dancing to this year.

The event changes location every year, and this years festival will take place in War Memorial Park in Coventry. 

What is the date for Radio 1 Big Weekend 2022?

Traditionally taking place on the last weekend in May, this year is no different as the gigs will take place from May 27-29.
