WhatsApp plots HUGE update that will totally change how you use the app

BILLIONS of WhatsApp users are about to get a handy new update that will make dealing with various chats at once a lot easier.

Anyone who uses voice notes will know how convenient they are but the problem is you can’t leave the chat and do something else at the same time.

The multitaskers among us have long called for the ability to listen to voice notes and be able to read messages from others at the same time.

Well, it appears their wish may finally come true.

It’s a move that has already been officially rolled out on iPhone and desktop.

Now it looks set to arrive on Android as well.

WABetaInfo has obtained leaked screenshots showing the so-called global voice note player on Android.

Beta testers have been trying it out before it’s released to the public.

What’s more, it’s not limited to voice notes either.

The new player also works with incoming and outgoing audio files.

As ever with early beta reveals, WhatsApp could well decide not to launch it publicly.

But given that it already exists on iOS and desktop, it seems highly likely it’ll be available soon.

The Meta-owned app is constantly working on new features, and is already thought to be working on a new interface for reviewing contacts and searching past messages.

A polling tool for groups is also rumoured.
