The Hornets are currently hanging as a top 10 team in the Eastern Conference. LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges are putting up their best every other night for the team.
As a former Hornet, Kemba Walker has been working out in Charlotte, North Carolina. Will Walker return to Charlotte?
What the Fans want
NBA Twitter went crazy when the rumors of Kemba in Charlotte were confirmed. Fans expressed their mixed reactions, as some wanted Walker back in Hornets, while others were not sure what value he could now provide to the team.

How many guards the hornets need?

Hornets need a big man more than anything else, looking at the rebounds on both ends tells you that, Plumlee has no idea about boxing out, and to date, I’ve yet to see him face the rim with a midrange jumper.

it’d be cool to see no doubt but a team that’s terrible defensively signing a liability on defense doesn’t make sense

Its too late they have LameLo and Hornets will not choose him over Lamelo

Kemba Walker is regarded as one of the greatest Hornet of all time. His reunion with the team will surely fill up the seats.
The 4-time All-star had his best season with the Hornets in 2018-19, where he averaged 25 points, 6 assists, and 4 rebounds a game.

Hornets adding Kemba Walker
Currently, the Hornets are struggling to maintain their play-in tournament position. Statistically, the team is on even terms with their opponent in almost every aspect. As they hold their opponent to 114.8 points per game while averaging 114.9 points themselves. The Hornets are averaging opponent field goal percentage slightly more than their own field goal percentage.
It’s quite understandable that the team needs defensive support. Though adding a veteran will help guide the young guys like LaMelo and Bridges next season. As both the youngsters make a good duo.

Kemba is currently averaging 11 points, 3 assists, and 3 rebounds a game. While in his previous season with the Hornets, Walker performed significantly better. Though, the addition of yet another guard will not help the Hornets next season.
The team is lacking in defense. A better option would be to introduce a new rim protector. After this season, Walker will have another year left on his contract. This leaves trade as the only option to move Kemba to the Hornets. The Hornet’s fans will surely welcome Kemba back with open arms.
It will be exciting to see teams making moves after the 2021-22 post-season.
