Shockingly, just a few days ahead of the 2022 season, former Astros shortstop Carlos Correa has reportedly signed a three-year deal with the Twins for a whopping $105.3 million.

Taking to his Twitter, MLB’s top MLB insider, Mark Berman, reported that free-agent shortstop, Correa, has an agreement with the Twins on a three-year deal worth $105.3 million. And with this deal, Correa will have the highest average annual value for an MLB infielder.

However, even after signing for three years with the Twins, Correa has the advantage of opt-out in the first two years of his contract. As per Mark Berman, Correa has an option to opt-out in his first and second seasons.
