‘There’s Not a Better Athlete on Tour’: Veteran Caddie Reveals the Staggering Accuracy of Dustin Johnson

Dustin Johnson is among the group of professionals who love to hit the ball long. Recently, a fellow PGA Tour caddie made a similar revelation and proved that he is probably the best ball-striker on the PGA Tour.

The golf world reacts to Dustin Johnson’s insane driving skills

Dustin is a part of the field this week at the Valspar Championship. Copperhead course is a very tough and demanding golf course, which wants professionals to drive it well off-the-tee. However, this is not an issue for the American professional. Johnson hits where he aims and this is proved by a fellow PGA Tour veteran caddie on his Twitter account.

Kip Henly made a tweet about how well the two-time major championship winner drives the ball. He talks about how accurate Dustin’s driving skills are.

He tweeted, “We practiced beside Dustin Johnson yesterday. I watched him fly his driver 320 yards yesterday 50 straight times. 40 of them you could have caught in your hat standing in one place. There’s NOT a better athlete on Tour!”

Moreover, Twitter exploded with reactions as soon as Kip made this tweet. Golf fans all over the globe replied to this insane tweet about Johnson’s driving skills. Some of the reactions included fans’ experience of watching his insane drives off-the-tee. A few of them were funny too.

I saw him hit a ball at the 2015 us open I still can’t believe. He had a sand wedge into a 540 yard par 4. I still think it’s in orbit somewhere. One of the most amazing things in sports I’ve ever seen and I saw the original dream team play in person

Just goes to show how difficult it us to win on Tour. So many outstanding athlete/ players.

I love how his brother says he can hand him the wrong club, and he will hit it the right distance anyways b/c his feel is so incredible.

Different level.

Flew the green from 289 today on a par 5, second shot. Landed past pin high stopped 10 yards over the green. Unreal

I can’t even imagine hitting my driver 50 times in a row. I’d be exhausted

I know an old football coach that was at his high school in Columbia. He said he was easily the best athlete there.

Moreover, it is not Kip who thinks he drives the ball well. But his stats on the PGA Tour say the same story. Dustin had a driving distance of 312.9 in the 2020-2022 PGA Tour season. And hit 581 out of possible 1004 fairways. Almost hitting 50 percent of the fairways in the season.

However, on the business end; Dustin shot a modest round of one-over-par, 72 in the third round of the event. He is currently at a score of three-under-par and at a tied 65th position. His third-round included one birdie and two bogeys on the front nine. As a result, moving out in one-over-par, 37. He made two birdies and two bogeys to shoot a level-par back nine.
