⁩Los Angeles Rams Offload Experienced WR Who Suffered Season Ending Injury Ahead of Super Bowl-Winning Run

NFL franchise Los Angeles Rams seem to be looking towards recruiting fresh faces as they approach ever closer to the 2022 NFL season. They recently traded away wide receiver Robert Woods to the Tennessee Titans to make space for new WR Allen Robinson. The Titans were scouring the market for a No. 2 target after releasing Julio Jones and landing one of the better supporting wideouts in football.

According to NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, the Rams will be receiving a 2023 sixth-round pick in consequence of the Woods deal. The team will be moving on from Woods, who joined them in the 2017 season with Cooper Kupp.

He was an integral part of building towards their Super Bowl-winning roster, and it was injuries that were his undoing.

Woods did end up tearing his ACL during an early November practice, which halted the progress of what could have been an amazing season statistically. He will be making his long-awaited return before training camp begins and will be eager to pair with Titans rising star A.J. Brown. Both Brown and Woods will form a solid partnership and allow the former to learn all the tips and tricks in his trade.

Can the Los Angeles Rams win the Super Bowl in 2022?

The departure of Woods from LA signals the intent of the Rams in a way to re-sign soon-to-be free agent WR Odell Beckham Jr. OBJ did experience a career resurgence following him moving on from the Cleveland Browns franchise. If it wasn’t for his injury during Super Bowl LVI, he might have been one of the candidates for Super Bowl MVP honors.

If the Rams do manage to sign OBJ and lineup with Cooper Kupp, they might be once again on course to repeat as Super Bowl champions. But for that scenario to become a reality, a lot of work remains for the team from Los Angeles and their front office.

While they still possess one of the best defensive units in the league, their offensive line still remains to find a resolution.

While they will be missing a combination of sure hands, precise route-running, and blocking, the Rams seem to be on their course back to the NFL’s headline event. The Rams offense has evolved leaps and bounds beyond him, and a move was the best choice for all franchises and Woods himself.
