The Chase viewers distracted by ‘sexy’ player as Bradley Walsh makes dig at Anne Hegerty

THE Chase viewers were seriously distracted straight out of the gates as they couldn’t keep their eyes off one player.

University worker Gareth stepped up on the stage to try to win big, but fans watching at home were too distracted by his good looks.

Gareth appeared alongside Mike, Karen and Abigail, winning an impressive £5,000 in the cash builder round.

The strapping lad told host Bradley Walsh that he was hoping to win money so that he could go on a solo trip around India.

When Bradley asked him which Chaser he would prefer to play against, Gareth replied, “I fancy Anne.”

The host took the comment as a chance to make a dig at Anne Hegerty.

“Hang on a minute? You fancy Anne? Should have gone to Specsavers,” he joked.

But it ended up being Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan who the team battled on the repeated episode from 2018.

Not wanting to take a risk with the higher offer, Gareth took Jenny’s offer to keep the £5,000, but did so well that Bradley berated for not being more daring.

None of that mattered to viewers who swooned over the sports expert.

“Gareth’s a bit sexy,” commented one fan on Twitter.

Another added: “Gareth is fab xox fancy u.”

And a third wrote: “Gareth is very pretty.”

Gareth went head-to-head with Jenny in the final alongside Mike and Karen to try and win a whopping £60,000.

Despite their strong team, the Chaser managed to catch their 17 questions easily and with 40 seconds to spare.
