Miley Cyrus terrified as jet is forced to make emergency landing after being hit by lightning

MILEY Cyrus’s private jet was forced to make an emergency landing after being hit by lightning in a “major” electrical storm.

The Wrecking Ball singer’s friends and family could be heard gasping as she filmed the sky lighting up through the plane window.

The body of the plane was scorched and damaged from the strike.

Writing on Instagram, Miley said: “To my fans and everyone worried after hearing about my flight to Asunción. Our plane was caught in a major unexpected storm and struck by lighting.

“My crew , band , friends and family who were all traveling with me are safe after an emergency landing. We were unfortunately unable to fly into Paraguay. I LOVE YOU.”
