WATCH: Exclusive Brawl Footage of Jorge Masvidal Sucker-Punching Colby Covington From Behind

The main event of UFC 272 may have awarded Colby Covington the victory over Jorge Masvidal, but the feud was clearly not over. The ceremonial BMF champion reportedly attacked Covington outside of Papi steak restaurant, and finally, the video footage of the incident has been released.

The video showcases Masvidal ambushing his arch-rival, reportedly leaving him with a bruised tooth.

Miami’s own star, Masvidal, took to the streets of his city to exact his revenge on his rival. One thing is quite clear, this rivalry will turn into yet another fight, which could take place in the latter part of 2022 or next year. Shortly after the incident, the UFC star shared a post on Twitter where he targeted Covington once again.

In a now-deleted tweet, ‘Gamebred’ said, “Calling this, ‘Show your face challenge’, you know? Um, what’s up? I’m from Dade county, you talk that sh** you gotta back it up. That’s how my city rolls, man.

In a follow-up tweet, he took yet another dig at his nemesis.

Colby Covington has said nothing about the incident with Jorge Masvidal

Covington, who has offered no response on the matter since the incident took place, was with Nelk Boys at Papi Steak restaurant for an interview before it went down. Bob Menery offered his response about the incident and stated that he wasn’t pleased with Masvidal’s conduct.

All i can say is I’m extremely disappointed in @GamebredFighter as a professional fighter tonight.
You let down alot of people tonight bro. Disappointed

The entire MMA community is eagerly looking forward to hearing from the outspoken fighter. He isn’t known for holding anything back, and never shies away from saying what’s on his mind.

The first fight between the two concluded merely a few weeks ago at UFC 272. At the T-Mobile Arena, Covington displayed a dominant performance and won each round to claim a unanimous decision. However, even after the match, it was clear that the duo was far from done.

With the feud escalating beyond the realm of the octagon, it would not be too far-fetched to assume that the duo will clash again in UFC.
