Mother’s Day is torture a year after my baby daughter passed away says Ashley Cain’s girlfriend Safiyya

SAFIYYA Vorajee has shared a painfully honest and open video about her baby girl Azaylia following her death last year.

Safiyya and partner, Ex On The Beach’s Ashley Cain, have been mourning the loss of their daughter, who died aged eight months following a battle with cancer.

Safiyya Vorajee shared an honest video revealing how tough Mother’s Day will be for her

She is struggling to cope with the grief of losing her baby girl Azaylia

The devastated mum has been open with her struggle in coping with the loss, and often shares photos of her daughter’s grave, which she visits often daily.

She wrote on her Instagram story today, ahead of Mothering Sunday: “Scrolling through my Insta walking past shops hearing people talking about Mothers Day brings so much pain to my body.

“Yesterday I just went to buy some aloe vera gel & couldn’t hold back the tears in a shop.

“When times like this are approaching I end up feeling really uncomfortable

“I had the best Mothers Day last year with my princess.

POORLY GIRL

When was Ashley Cain’s baby daughter Azaylia born?

“I miss you so much even though I may be trying to carry on in this world I feel like my world is smashed to pieces”.

She also said she wanted to remind people to think of the mothers who have lost children.

It read: “Please don’t forget the Mothers with empty arms this Mothering Sunday”.

She added alongside a heartbreaking video of pictures of her daughter and some of her toys: “I find it so hard mummy loves you so much”.

Ashley also revealed keeping his late daughter’s legacy going has helped keep him alive in the wake of her death.

In an exclusive interview in January, the former reality TV star said he would continue fundraising to help other families whose children have cancer.

Ashley and his partner Safiyya lost Azaylia in April last year after she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia when she was eight weeks-old.

While her life was cruelly cut short, the tot’s diagnosis and subsequent fundraiser got worldwide attention and a staggering £1.6million was raised in her name in just a few days.

And Ashley says continuing this is now his life goal, with the next challenge a huge charity bike ride in June where he and Safiyya hope to raise thousands for The Azaylia Foundation.

Ashley said: “Exercise and doing this bike ride is something that has kept me here.”

Azaylia was just eight months old when she died
