Anthony Martial ‘to return to Man Utd in summer with Sevilla leaning towards not making loan transfer permanent’

SEVILLA have reportedly made their provisional decision on whether to sign Anthony Martial permanently.

The Spanish side are leaning towards NOT extending the Manchester United star’s loan move into a permanent transfer.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claims the “expectation” is for Martial to return to Old Trafford in the summer.

He suggests there is no option to buy the 26-year-old at the end of the loan deal, and there have been no talks about keeping Martial for another season.

But the LaLiga side are not likely to make a final decision on the Frenchman until the end of the campaign in May.

Martial has scored just one goal and provided a further one assist in eight games for Sevilla.

After initially impressing upon touching down in Spain, things have started to sour for Martial in recent weeks.

The star was reportedly left “angry” after being “whistled at” by Sevilla fans last weekend.

Marca claimed Martial was subjected to jeers from home fans during the 0-0 draw against Real Sociedad.

Supporters showed their frustration with the on-loan star after he was subbed off by boss Julen Lopetegui after less than an hour.

Martial is yet to score in five LaLiga appearances for Sevilla.

His one goal came in the Europa League over a month ago, but the kings of the competition were then knocked out by West Ham in the last-sixteen.
