“IT Chose Violence Today”: Isiah Thomas, Who Ignores Michael Jordan for Their Enmity to This Day, Left NBA Twitter Going Gaga With Massive MVP Claim
Isiah Thomas is an undisputed NBA legend. The Bad Boys Detroit Pistons will always be remembered as one of the most stoppable teams. He was a vital part of the team. One more thing that will always be remembered is Isiah’s enmity towards Michael Jordan.
The fans of both sides take the front seat whenever either of them appears in the media in any capacity. The same happened when Isiah Thomas made the case for Devin Booker in the race for the MVP this season. And given that Isiah makes the case on someone’s behalf, it is fair enough to consider the argument.
Devin Booker has been brilliant for the Phoenix Suns. It will be fair to say that for the best record in the league of 60-14, Devin deserves a lot of credit for Suns’ success. Isiah thinks he has done enough to be in the MVP contention. However, as usual, not all the fans agree with him.

Isiah Thomas makes massive MVP claim and creates a storm
Isiah shared a tweet from StatMuse which showed the stats from the league over the years with players having the average of 25 points, 5 rebounds, 5, assists with .800 record or better and how most of them had won the MVP in that season. Isaiah used the tweet to put emphasis on the fact, ‘that’s how it goes’.
That’s how I remember it going! https://t.co/a4pK0RP9oZ

The fans had mixed views and reactions just as usual on Twitter.

Why are you on booker. They made the game easy enough for guards / wings @DevinBook @KyrieIrving / @KDTrey5 / @TheTraeYoung /@StephenCurry30 with freedom of movement / no hand checking
Yet they let physical play in the post. @JoelEmbiid deserves it. Booker can win fmvp

Booker has had an All NBA second team, maybe first, level season, but his team is simply just an amazing team as a whole. CP3, Ayton, the best supporting cast in the league, those guys don’t generally win MVP anymore.

There are only a few players who have had a similar impact this season. Despite Book’s impressive season, the MVP contention seems like a three horse race. Nikola Jokic, Joel Embiid and Giannis Antetokounmpo make the top three in the latest ranking in that very order and deservedly so. Nikola averages 26.2, 13.5, 7.9. Joel has an average of 29.8, 11.3, 4.3. Whereas Giannis averages 29.7, 11.6, 5.8. Devin Booker has averaged 26.3 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5.0 assists in 63 games this season.

Although his numbers are impressive, he stands in the top 10 but is nowhere close to the top three. The season’s end is near and we will soon find out who will win the MVP. It will be an exciting end for both, crowning of the NBA champions and winner of the MVP.
