“Poorly Done” – Fans Take Over Twitter as Shaun White, Tony Hawk, and Kelly Slater Pay Tribute to James Bond at Oscars 2022
The GOAT of snowboarding is at the Oscars! Shaun White is at the 94th edition of the Academy Awards as a presenter. White took his mom Cathy White with him.
The Oscars 2022 are being held at the Dolby Theatre in the heart of Hollywood. Decked in a black and white tux, White looked quite handsome. The champion athlete has just recently retired after his 5th and last Olympics.
Fans however have mixed reactions to seeing White at the Academy Awards. While some think it’s cool that a non-actor was invited, there are others who think that he does not belong there.

Shaun White was invited to present an award at the Oscars. This is a big thing because every year, a certain amount of deliberation is done before the presenters’ names are finalized. Influential skateboarder Tony Hawk was also present along with White. In addition, the American surfer Kelly Slater completed the trio.
White was accompanied by his mom Cathy White. Notably, his girlfriend Nina Dobrev is on a shoot in Greek, which is the reason she could not come.
Meanwhile, fans are not quite sure if White does belong to the Oscars after all. Many commented on why White was invited when they were many other talented actors who did not receive an invitation.

There were yet others who did not like the trio’s presentation.

The trio was up on the stage to pay tribute to James Bond. However, some felt that they had nothing to do with Bond, and it not do a good job with the presentation.
Fans divided over White’s presence
However, there were some fans who were quite happy to see Shaun White at the Oscars. Many liked the trio of the 3 very talented athletes, who brought some fun to the stage.

Whether or not he belongs there, Shaun White certainly is enjoying his day at the biggest Awards ever; the Oscars. He was quite excited since morning and has been documenting his day at the Oscars via his Instagram.
