In a Rare Video, Conor McGregor Reveals What Advice He Would Have Given His 19-Year-Old Self: “I Was No Saint”
Conor McGregor, the former UFC double champion, is one of the biggest names in MMA today. He has made himself a fortune through the sport. However, things weren’t the same for the Dublin boy during his earlier years.
From the streets of Dublin to the UFC octagon, ‘The Notorious’ took a long road to success. But he had one thing clear, and that was his belief in reaching the pinnacle of MMA.
In a rare video that surfaced four years back, Conor McGregor can be seen giving advice to his younger self. In the video, the former UFC lightweight champion said, “Just stick with it, just keep doing what you do. It’s gonna happen, mate.”
McGregor added, “I think I would have been 19 was probably the age I was thinking in my head saying, this is it.”

“I can make this happen. I was nineteen years old. It’s just you know when you know something and I just knew. And I was no angel. I was no saint.” McGregor concluded.
Conor McGregor: Always a visionary
The Dublin native always said and believed that he will be a UFC champion someday. And to achieve his dream, McGregor made his UFC debut in 2013 after an amazing career at Cage Warriors.
The Irishman made his presence known to all the fighters on the roster with his stunning back-to-back wins. Later, he achieved his dream of becoming the UFC champion by defeating Jose Aldo in just 13 seconds at UFC 194 in 2015.

After achieving his first-ever UFC title, the Irishman visioned becoming the first Irish two-division champion of the promotion. He accomplished his dream at UFC 205 in 2016. By doing so, McGregor completed his vision of reaching the pinnacle of the sport.
However, like every other athlete, ‘The Notorious’ is going through his downfall currently. He is on a two-fight skid and recovering from a broken leg injury. However, this isn’t stopping the former UFC champion from being a visionary.

Despite the adversities, McGregor wants to become the first-ever three-division champion by earning the welterweight gold in his comeback fight. It may sound off the rail for many, but ‘The Notorious’ has a strong champion mentality and has always thrived to achieve his dream.
