The trailer for Ozark season 4 part B – aka the final episodes of Ozark – has finally landed but instead of freaking out with excitement, some fans are miffed because it may have revealed a massive spoiler.

The final batch of Ozark episodes are coming to Netflix on April 29, but despite being a month away at the time of writing the trailer could have  confirmed a big death.

Naturally, the rest of this piece will be pretty spoiler-y so proceed at your own will.

At the end of the season 4 part A, Ruth (Julia Garner) found the bodies of her cousin Wyatt (Charlie Tahan) and his wife Darlene (Lisa Emery) after they were shot dead by cartel savage Javi (Alfonso Herrera).

Naturally, Ruth is going to be on the warpath as she gets revenge for the death of the only consistent person in her life (and his wife).

However, in the trailer, it looks pretty indisputable: Ruth shoots and kills Javi.

So it looks like Javi is dust then (Picture: Netflix)

While there is every chance Netflix has thrown a red herring into the mix, which is fairly likely, Ruth can be seen charging up to Javi and blasting him down in broad daylight.

Later, FBI agent Maya (Jessica Frances Dukes) tells Marty he’s ‘just another criminal’ to her now, implying she has no loyalty to the Byrde family without their link to Javi.

Either way, fans were stunned to see such a huge moment spoiled in the trailer:

Ozark pretty much gave away Javi death in the trailer.

For others, however, the spoiler just got them more hyped because if this is being revealed in the trailer, imagine what is being kept from us.

Ozark will end with its next run of seven episodes, after becoming one of the best-loved shows on Netflix with its loyal fan base.

According to executive producer, it was always the idea to end after four of five seasons so splitting the last chapter into two halves was the perfect compromise.

‘We always thought five [seasons] was the outside number,’ he told The Wrap. ‘It just felt like after that – we didn’t want to repeat ourselves, we didn’t want the show to feel like it was continuing because it was a TV show and it had to continue.

‘So really the decision has always been between is it four [seasons] or is it five [seasons].

‘And then Netflix hit upon the idea of saying, “We’ll do four but we’ll make it long and split it in this way,” and that felt perfect.’

Ozark returns to Netflix on April 29.
