Russell Westbrook Vents Out Frustration as Lakers Star Walks Out of Press Conference With Brutal Question

Russell Westbrook and the Los Angeles Lakers took on the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday. This was a crucial matchup for the Lakers as a loss would have taken them out of the play-in tournament. They were only a game ahead of the San Antonio Spurs before today’s matchup. LeBron James did not feature in the matchup as he was recovering from his ankle injury.

The Lakers could not come out with a win today and they dropped to 11th in the standings. This is a new low for this Lakers squad as they started the year hoping to be one of the top teams. Instead, they are currently out of the play-in spots. After the loss, Westbrook addressed the reporters, and he was not pleased with a reporter’s questions, which made him walk off.

Russell Westbrook is frustrated at reporter’s question and walks out of the press conference

Westbrook was addressing the media after the loss. And one reporter asked what should change in the future. Russ replied nothing is going to change as they still have games left. The reporter didn’t seem satisfied, but he thanked Russ, regardless. And this caught Russ’s attention, and he asked the reporter “what should change”. The reporter said, “winning”. This started an exchange between the two and Russ got off his chair and said, “do you have the answers for me?”.

The reporter then explained himself, and it seemed all good in the end. But this loss would definitely hurt for Russ and the Lakers. They have lost a lot of winnable games this year and they have blown huge leads in the past. And all that is coming back to hurt them at the end of the season.

The Lakers have a small glimmer of hope left with reports suggesting both Anthony Davis and LeBron might return next game. They will all the help they can get as they battle for the final play in spot.
