When is the 2022 Qatar World Cup and who has qualified?

WITH eight months until the 2022 Qatar World Cup fans across the world are waiting anxiously for the draw.

After four years the World Cup is back and it will be the final time we see the tournament with 32 teams before it expands to 48 teams in 2026.

With qualifying beginning to draw to a close, fans wait nervously to see the full roster of teams that will play in Qatar this winter.

Qatar is set to be the first ever World Cup to take place in the winter due to the extreme summer temperatures deemed to hot for competitive sport.

The World Cup draw is set to take place on Friday April 1 at 4pm live from Doha.

When does the tournament start?

Group stages for the Qatar World Cup will start on Monday November 21.The final of this years World Cup will be on December 18, just one week before Christmas.

Who can still qualify for the World Cup?

So far, 27 teams have qualified for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar leaving only FIVE more spots up for grabs.

By the end of March 30, there will only be four spots left following New Zealand vs Solomon Islands.
