Accomack County ‘plane crash’ – ‘Aircraft goes down in water in Virginia’ as rescuers search for three people onboard

A NAVY Osprey plane crashed near the Queen Sound Bridge on the Chincoteague Causeway in Virginia around 7:30PM Wednesday.

Three people were aboard the aircraft and an emergency dispatcher said that contact was made with the pilot.

The other two passengers were reportedly outside the plane with injuries, but it’s unknown how severe they are.

These reports have yet to be confirmed, however.

A call went out over the scanner, calling for all units in the area to be on the lookout for survivors.

A rescue helicopter has reportedly spotted the crash, according to dispatchers.
