I’m obsessed with charity shops & have bagged loads of designer bargains like a £4 Prada bag and Dior sunglasses for 70p
A CHARITY shop connoisseur has shared her best tips for finding a bargain – after bagging tonnes of designer bargains herself.
Baillie Jones took to TikTok to share several videos detailing her “best ever charity shop finds”, which included a Prada bag she picked up for £4 and a pair of gemstone-embellished Dior sunglasses for just 70p.

“Starting with these sunglasses,” she began her video.
“The box is quite scratched but that’s fine – I don’t think I’ll ever top these.
“These are beautiful and they were $1, which is like 70p.”
She added that she lives “really close to an American airbase that has a thrift shop and no-one really goes there”, so it’s her “favourite place to thrift”.

“These are the sunglasses,” she said, as she popped them on.
“They’re real – I think they’re from the early 2000s. You can tell because of the rhinestones. But I just love these.
“They fit perfectly and they’re just so cool. I got these about a year ago and I wear them all the time.”
Her dad then found some Gucci sunglasses from the same place, which she thinks are men’s as they are a little larger.

“I might give them to my boyfriend because they are really good sunglasses – they’re the polarised ones,” she said.
But her biggest designer find is a £4 Prada bag, which she called her “child”, as she admitted she’s used it pretty much every day since she purchased it from a charity shop five years ago.
“I was charity shopping with my friend and we both kind of saw it and were like, ‘Mmm, don’t know if I like that’,” she recalled.
“Crazy! But then I was like, ‘Actually it is quite cute, I might get it’.
And she convinced me to get it.
“They are a great bag because when you get them dirty you can just wipe them down/wash them.”
In her second video, Baillie revealed more of her charity shop diamond buys, including a Burberry bucket hat she got for £1 and a pair of real leather tan cowboy boots for £8.
“They marked them as a size 3 but I’m a size 6 and these are definitely not a size 3,” she said.

“So always try things on because these fit me like a glove.”
Another of Baillie’s tips is to always check the men’s section of charity shops, as she found a gorgeous baby pink Hugo Boss jumper in the men’s section for £5.
