Jon Jones has had a love-hate relationship with the renowned MMA promotion and UFC president Dana White. The former light heavyweight division champion vacated the belt in 2020. However, he has since then eyed a move towards the heavyweight division.

The 34-year-old hasn’t fought since his light heavyweight title win over Dominick Reyes via unanimous decision in 2020. He has been active on social media sharing his thoughts on a potential upcoming fight.

Recently, a fan enquired with ‘Bones’ whether UFC has offered him a fight yet and the veteran fighter responded.

Jones announced he is expecting to be in his peak condition by June/July. Despite nothing being official yet, Jones has provided a tentative timeline for his return to the Octagon in his latest tweet.

It will be exciting to see who UFC president Dana White pits against him, considering Jones only has his eye on the heavyweight title. However, with current UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou out for almost nine months, a title shot looks difficult for Jones.

UFC might schedule an interim title bout in the heavyweight division, but the chances of Jon Jones being a part of it are scarce. Recently, after his UFC Columbus win over Chris Daukaus, Curtis Blaydes also demanded an interim title bout against #1 heavyweight Ciryl Gane.

Despite being out of action for nearly two years, Jones is vigorously training and preparing for a blockbuster UFC return. He often shares pictures from training and looks like he is full of confidence and motivation.
