Cody Rhodes’ Emotional First Words After WWE Return at WrestleMania 38
The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes has finally come back to the WWE Universe. Cody Rhodes smashed all the rumors to make a dream come true for the wrestling fans. Cody Rhodes exited from the WWE back in 2016 following a decade in the company with the face-painted gimmick Stardust.
In these six years, Rhodes made his name in the rival company, All Elite Wrestling. Not only has he been a World Champion, but he also served as the Executive Vice President for the AEW. ‘Dashing’ Cody and his wife left their position at the AEW to return home.

Cody Rhodes received a loud ovation from the 77,000+ audience at AT&T Stadium at WrestleMania 38. The WWE built Rhodes for a significant storyline that involved Seth Rollins not having a WrestleMania match.

After the match, ‘Dashing’ Cody shared a heartwarming message with the WWE Universe on his way back home.
Rhodes mentioned, “Everybody keeps saying the same two words. They say, ‘Welcome home!’ And as flattering as that is, and as much as I appreciate it, I reciprocate the feeling. For my entire career of 16 years, I’ve run away from the specter of Dusty Rhodes. The shadow of him was so big, so great, and I finally felt like, I don’t have to do it for him anymore; maybe I can do it for me.”
“And that I’ll be doing it for him, and now I got the chance to go out there and do it in Texas. Basically, I’m welcomed home, I say, I’m ready to play the game, let’s go,” Cody added.

The former AEW Star did not appear on WWE programming for the last six years. The WWE Universe was eagerly waiting for Rhodes to get back into the company.

Vince McMahon appointed Seth Rollins with a mystery opponent that revealed The American Nightmare at The Stupendous WrestleMania. WWE welcomed Rhodes with a pyro celebration in the ring.

He kicked off his entrance and emerged up from the ramp before his signature music played. The American Nightmare made his triumphant return with the same theme song he used in AEW.
Seth Rollins and Rhodes submitted an exciting and physical match card of the night. But Cody Rhodes picked an impressive win over Seth ‘Freaking’ Rollins by putting him in Cross Rhodes finisher twice.

The American Nightmare paid tribute to his late father, Dusty Rhodes. He delivered a last maneuver, Bionic Elbow, in memory of his father, Dusty Rhodes.
‘Dashing’ Cody won his first match since his exit from the WWE at The Stupendous WrestleMania 38. The WWE Universe will love to see The American Nightmare back in action to win a World Champion down the line.
