Paul told BILD: “I don’t think McGregor wants to fight me. He knows he’s losing. That’s no joke.

“I just don’t see how he would hit me. He really struggled against Mayweather.

“From round eight against Mayweather I turned up the heat. If I had had two more rounds I would have knocked him out, I know that.

“Conor would beat me in MMA, but I would definitely beat him in boxing.”

McGregor, 33, lost to Mayweather, 45, after ten rounds of his first and only professional boxing fight.

The American then officially retired after going 50-0 but recently returned in an exhibition against Paul, 27, who weighed TWO STONE more.

And amazingly, Mayweather was taken the distance with no winner declared having failed to score a knockout.

Following a draw and loss to online rival KSI, 28, in the past, Paul is still without a win in the boxing ring.

But a return to boxing to face Brazilian YouTuber Whindersson still remains on the cards.

Paul said: “This Brazilian boy by the name of Whindersson Nunes wants to fight me.

“I’m open. Honestly, I fight everyone. I fought Floyd Mayweather.”
