Seth Rollins finally got his opportunity at WrestleMania 38. But he had a mystery opponent. And his mystery opponent was none other than the former AEW superstar, Cody Rhodes.

A name that had been on every WWE fan’s lips recently finally arrived in WWE. As Seth waited for his opponent inside the ring, the lights went off.

And out came “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes. After being away from WWE for almost six years, Cody returned to a thunderous reception.

Not only did the live crowd go berserk, but also the fans took to social media to give out their reactions to Cody Rhodes’s stunning WWE return.

There were loud “Cody” chants at several stages of the match. Almost everyone looked thrilled at seeing Cody back in WWE. And he delivered. But it was not only him, both Cody and Seth gave their best to make it exciting and worth a watch for the WWE Universe.

Cody Rhodes earned a hard-fought victory over Seth Rollins

It took some time to get going as Cody enjoyed his moment before the two men went into action mode. Cody started the match on the front foot, but Rollins is not someone to go down easily.

While Cody targeted Rollins’ left arm, Seth targeted the former AEW superstar’s ribs. The match swung like a pendulum as both Cody and Seth delivered some stunning moves on one another.

Cody pinned Rollins after hitting a Cross Rhodes. But the WWE Raw superstar kicked out before the three count. Later, Seth Rollins hit a pedigree on Cody and pinned him. This time, Rhodes kicked out before the three count.

The match ended in an interesting manner. In the end, Rhodes hit three consecutive Cross Rhodes in the end and successfully pinned Seth Rollins.

The crowd loved every moment of Cody’s grand return to WWE, just like Cody did. It will be interesting to see what WWE has planned for Cody Rhodes in the coming weeks.
