MINELLA TIMES 3 (OUT OF FIVE)
TIME’S up. Last year’s winner has 21lb more to make life tougher but loves the track and his season’s been based around today. Place claims with Rachael Blackmore back on board.
DELTA WORK 5
LIGHT Work. Beat Tiger Roll at Cheltenham when loving the cross-country course and stamina test. Grade 1 winner at best and his class is a massive asset. In the Tiger Roll colours, jumps well and looks the one to beat.

SCHOOL BOY HOURS 2
NO Boy. Decent win in Ireland before costly mistake in the Kim Muir at Cheltenham. Stays but would like it softer.
ANY SECOND NOW 4
SECOND chance. Unlucky third 12 months ago when hampered before finishing well. More weight now but won a key trial nicely and is a good jumper. Solid place claims.
RUN WILD FRED 3
GOOD Run. Davy Russell rides and was second in the National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham. Jumps well and guaranteed to stay. Rain would help as he likes soft. Not out of this.

LOSTINTRANSLATION 1
GET Lost. Form has dipped and he was well beaten at Cheltenham last time. Best has been over much shorter. Hard to fancy.
BRAHMA BULL 1
LOAD of Bull. Started season well with a third in the Ladbrokes Trophy but has been poor since and unseated behind Delta Work in the cross-country. Tall order.
BURROWS SAINT 4
SUPER Saint. Jumped and travelled beautifully 12 months ago until stamina gave way two out. He kept on for fourth and is a year older and stronger. Can make the places again for Willie Mullins.
MOUNT IDA 2
IDA down. Has talent and will enjoy this stamina test but doesn’t jump well enough.
LONGHOUSE POET 3
LONG shot. Been laid out for this and warmed up over hurdles. Showed class when winning at Gowran in January and looks a proper stayer. Soft suits and can’t be dismissed.
FIDDLERONTHEROOF 4
ROOF on high. Has Grade 1 form and was a close second in the Ladbrokes Trophy at Newbury before sound effort at Ascot. Stays all day and a good jumper. Pick of the Brits.

TWO FOR GOLD 2
TWO short. Has improved this season and close in a Grade 1 at Ascot latest. Jumps and battles but best over shorter so stamina a worry.
SANTINI 3
BIG Tini. Proper stayer who found the Gold Cup too much last time but jumps well and this challenge should suit. One of the better outsiders.
SAMCRO 1
NO Cro. Was a high-class novice but below par for a while. Too much weight for what he’s done lately.
ESCARIA TEN 4
PERFECT Ten. Pipped by Any Second Now in the Bobbyjo and good third in last year’s National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham. Has lots of stamina and open to improvement so should be right there.
GOOD BOY BOBBY 3
GOOD not bad. Solid around 3m and better than his poor run at Kempton last time. Must improve but stamina an asset.
ROMAIN DE SENAM 1
ROM do. Pulled up in Midlands National and no reason why he’ll run much better here.
COKO BEACH 2
HE should Coko. Irish National seventh when didn’t stay and poor last time. Hard to fancy.
DE RASHER COUNTER 2
DE light. Last win was 2019 Ladbrokes Trophy and didn’t stay in Midlands Grand National. This looks tough.
KILDISART 4
KIL joy. Lightly raced lately and ran a cracker in the Greatwood Gold Cup over too short. Will love this challenge and has a good weight. Every chance at a price.
DISCORAMA 1
DISCO stew. Seventh last year when running out of stamina and likely to be similar again.
TOP VILLE BEN 1
TOP bottom. Fell in Becher Chase over these fences and tired in a 3m hurdle at Newbury latest. Needs much more.
ENJOY D’ALLEN 3
ENJOY the ride. Just bought by JP McManus and ran well in tough contest at Leopardstown before spin over hurdles. Third in last year’s Irish Grand National and every chance of something similar.

ANIBALE FLY 2
FLY swatted. Fourth in 2018, fifth in 2019 and pulled up last year. Can get round but not likely to figure in the finish.
DINGO DOLLAR 3
DOLLAR and sense. Second in last year’s Scottish National so stays well and place prospects despite a poor run last time out.
FREEWHEELIN DYLAN 2
DULL Dylan. Shock winner of last year’s Irish National but has struggled since. Stays but that’s about it.
CLASS CONTI 1
BOTTOM of Class. Finished 15th last season and nothing to suggest he’ll do better today.
NOBLE YEATS 2
NOBLE gas. Bought for this race and jockey rides course well. Stays but in his own time.
MIGHTY THUNDER 2
THUNDER clapped out. Last year’s Scottish National winner and yard took this in 2017. Had a wind op since poor run last time which needs to work wonders.
CLOTH CAP 3
CAP fits. Favourite when pulled up last year. Hasn’t shown much since but Jonjo O’Neill thinks he’ll run well. Could nick a place.
SNOW LEOPARDESS 3
HOT Snow. Game mare who jumped brilliantly when winning the Becher. She just held on though and this is a mile further. Will run well but likely to be collared late.
AGUSTA GOLD 1
AGUSTA wind. Has been out of sorts for a while and hard to fancy even from Willie Mullins.
COMMODORE 3
COMM on. Impressive Grade 3 winner at Cheltenham and has had a nice break since. Stays well and is a decent outsider.
DEISE ABA 1
ABA tuned out. Good at Sandown and lots of stamina but pulled up in Welsh National and this is tougher.
BLAKLION 3
LION roars. Has a fourth in this and sixth last year when coming from a mile back. Can jump round and may make the top ten again.
POKER PARTY 1
POKER face. From a top trainer but would be a shock winner on all recent form.
DEATH DUTY 3
DUTY calls. Solid effort at Cheltenham after winning a marathon at Punchestown. Stays well and handy weight. Can outrun odds.
DOMAINE DE L’ISLE 1
ISLE pass. Distant fourth in Becher and cried enough well before the end of 4m Eider at Newcastle.
ECLAIR SURF 4
SURF’S up. Second in 4m Eider last time and winner took Scottish National after that so form is solid. Easy winner of Warwick Classic in January and low weight. Solid each-way.
FORTESCUE 2
STRONG Fort. Won well in the mud at Ascot after a Peter Marsh Chase third at Haydock. Not the quickest but should get round.
Grand National 2022 tip
DELTA looks a belter in the Grand National.
DELTA WORK loved stepping up to a marathon trip when sinking Tiger Roll at Cheltenham. He jumped the cross-country course nicely and had lots left in the tank. He’s a class act.
Escaria Ten has been aimed at this race for a long time and had a right battle with Any Second Now in a key trial at Fairyhouse. They are both right in the hunt.
Fiddlerontheroof has class and looks the pick of the Brits, while last year’s fourth Burrows Saint can match that effort for Willie Mullins.
Kildisart looks the best of the huge prices after a good comeback at Newbury last month.
