AS families gear up for Easter, rising bills are hitting house-holds hard.

But you can still celebrate in style thanks to some brilliant supermarket deals on the Sunday lunch essentials.

Follow these tips to enjoy the ultimate tasty feast for less . . . 

MEAT AND TWO VEG: You can get a whole leg of lamb for £6.49 per kg, usually £13, at Morrisons.

While there, pick up 1kg of carrots for 19p, down from 39p, and a 2kg bag of white potatoes for 99p, usually £2.

From Monday, Aldi will be selling a whole leg of British lamb for £5.95 per kg.

It will also be dropping the price of selected veg, including parsnips, down from 42p to 29p, and cauliflower, down from 79p to 59p.

At Tesco, get lamb and mint gravy granules (200g) for 70p.

TALK THE PORK: A British pork shoulder joint (approximately 1.45kg) costs £3.58 at Sainsbury’s.

You can also grab a bag of leeks (500g) for 95p, and 2.5kg of British maris piper potatoes for £1.15.

Pick up a Co-op British beef roasting joint for half-price at £6.50 per kg from Nisa, along with Co-op British Lily Potatoes (1.25kg) for £1, and Co-op fine green beans (170g) for £1.

WINE AND DINE: Head to Asda and grab six bottles of Mud House Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc for £6 per bottle (usually £9). The same “buy 6” deal is also available on a range of wines — and you can mix and match.

At Sainsbury’s, the Marques De Aldeanueva Tempranillo Rioja (75cl), which goes well with lamb, is on price lock at £5.75.

BUBBLING OVER: For a little fizz, pick up six bottles of the Freixenet Italian Sparkling Rosé at Asda, and under the “buy 6” deal you’ll pay £6.75 per bottle, down from £12, saving £31.50.

JUST DESSERTS: Round off your roast with Co-op chocolate trifle (500g) for £2.25 from Nisa. Or pick up two Easter cakes for £4 from Iceland, including Cadbury six mini eggs choc cakes, usually £2.50.
