How can I get the edit button on Twitter?

On April 1, 2022, Twitter wrote on their platform that they are testing out a new edit feature within the app.

Exclusive to Twitter Blue members, users will be able to go back and edit tweets.

Prior to this users would have to delete a tweet entirely and re-write it to edit the post.

In order to access the edit feature, users will need to pay for a monthly subscription to Twitter Blue.

According to PEOPLE magazine, Twitter Blue will not only feature an edit button but other options as well.

“Edit has been the most requested Twitter feature for many years. People want to be able to fix (sometimes embarrassing) mistakes, typos and hot takes in the moment. They currently work around this by deleting and tweeting again,” tweeted Jay Sullivan, head of consumer product at the company.
