‘Getting Their Shine’ – Serena Williams’ Husband, Alexis Ohanian Feels Overjoyed by the Success of Natalie Portman and Their Soccer Club
Serena Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian, has shown his commitment to equality for women in sports and has been a strong advocate for equal pay. As the leading investor of his soccer club, Angel City, he showed his immense dedication to the success of his club. Earlier, he showed his happiness, as Angel City FC’s game garnered massive numbers around the USA. Now, Ohanian recently published a social media post congratulating the club’s founders on their great success.

Alexis Ohanian feels overjoyed for Natalie Portman and other founders of Angel City FC
In 2020, Natalie Portman, Kara Nortman, and Julie Uhrman founded the soccer club, Angel City FC. Alongside them, Alexis Ohanian also became the leading investor of that club. A few days ago, Natalie Portman celebrated with their fans during their first pre-season game. Incidentally, Alexis Ohanian also attended that game with his daughter Olympia.
Meanwhile, he recently posted a picture of a magazine cover on his Twitter. The cover picture consists of Natalie Portman (the founder), Julie Uhrman (founder and president), and Kara Nortman (founder and managing partner). In the caption, Alexis could not contain his excitement, as he wrote, “Did I tweet this already? How cool is this. @weareangelcity @juhrman@karanortman + Nat Portman getting their shine!“

Despite all the cheering from Ohanian and others, their soccer club didn’t have a great start to the campaign. They lost three of their four games in the NWSL Challenge Cup, which does not augur well for the LA-based soccer club.
Serena Williams’ daughter Olympia is also the co-owner of that soccer club
Earlier, in 2021, Serena Williams‘ daughter and husband Alexis Ohanian announced that Olympia will become the co-owner of Angel City FC. Thus, she became one of the youngest ever to own a sports club at the age of four. A few weeks back, Olympia attended the first game of Angel City FC with her father. The little Olympia had a great time.
Earlier, Alexis also shared some numbers from the game between San Diego and Angel City. Interestingly, the match generated 456k viewers in the USA, which was in the fourth place after some English Premier League games.

Meanwhile, Alexis has been quite busy with his soccer club at the moment. Previously, he visited their grounds to see their practice and to show his support to all the players.
