Golf World Reacts to Nelly Korda’s Health Update After Recent Setback

Nelly Korda has been on a hiatus from golf for quite a long time now. Moreover, the 23-year-old American professional has been away from golf after suffering a severe injury. However, World Number Two recently shared a cheerful piece of news, much to the delight of the golf fans.

The 2020 Tokyo Olympics golf medalist has not been a part of the LPGA Tour since she was diagnosed with a clot on her arm. The young female professional had gone for a commercial appearance and photoshoot in Florida, where she had swelling in her arm. After visiting the emergency room, the professional was diagnosed with a blood clot. Korda broke out the news through social media platforms. Not to forget, she has three events in the 2022 LPGA Tour season and also missed the first major event of the year. The Chevron Championship.

However, the 23-year-old broke out positive news regarding her recovery. Korda uploaded a statement along with a few pictures to announce that she had undergone surgery. The statement said, “I recently underwent surgery for a blood clot in my subclavian vein. I am pleased to report the procedure went well and the doctors were happy with the outcome. I am now home recovering and preparing to start rehab.”

Which was the last event that Nelly Korda played?

Korda last played at the LPGA Drive On Championship. Moreover, the American professional ended the event with an overall score of 10-under-par. As a result, Nelly had to settle for a tied 10th position finish. Moreover, she carded a final round of eight-under-par, 64. Her final round included four birdies on the front nine. As a result, she moved out in four-under-par, 36. She made five birdies and one bogey on the back nine. As a result, Nelly finished inside the top 20.
