‘Oh My God, That Was the Guy’- Logan Paul Recalls His Scary Encounter With UFC Star Khamzat Chimaev During His Visit Sweden Tour

YouTuber turned professional boxer, Logan Paul may have learned the sweet science of boxing, but he is no match for UFC’s prodigy, Khamzat Chimaev. The older Paul was in Sweden for a bit to shoot his music video for his album. He stated that he visited a gym in the country where Swedish superstar Alexander Gustafsson used to train. And this is where he recalled encountering a strange yet scary guy, who stared him down as he talked about the event with Ariel Helwani in MMA Hour.

Logan stated that he tries a lot of things that apparently never come out in the public. His recent stint with WWE for WrestleMania was among the key projects that the YouTuber was working on. However, he did not anticipate randomly running into the UFC star.

Logan Paul failed to recognize the Khamzat Chimaev in the gym

The 26-year-old YouTuber found himself being in the crosshair of the UFC star. At first, he could not figure out why this random guy was looking his way. He said, “I went to Sweden to train for a couple of weeks and I went to this gym. I looked over and there was this guy, kind of staring at me, big beard, looked like a bada**.”

After he left the gym, the YouTuber realized who the random guy was and why he was behaving in such a manner. The shocking revelation shook him to the core. Paul iterated, “It was where Gustafsson trained. Months later, this guy named Khamzat Chimaev is making an incredible UFC run and I’m like ‘oh my god, that was the guy that was mean mugging me at that one gym in the middle of Sweden, in Stockholm.”
Logan Paul also stated that he would never spar in MMA with Khamzat Chimaev. However, he would love to box him in the ring, but sadly, the UFC contract would bar him from doing so. He feels the promotion should alter the way these contracts work and allow their fighters to pursue other avenues alongside MMA.
