“Great and Powerful” Lewis Hamilton Shares Empowering Message Amidst Recent Mercedes F1 Struggles

The start of the 2022 season hasn’t gone Lewis Hamilton’s way. At least that’s what the statistics indicate so far. Despite picking up just a podium in three races, the 2020 F1 Champion seems far off from his desired place.

In the latest race at Albert Park, Hamilton finished in P4 behind his teammate George Russell. Moreover, the veteran finished in P10 in Saudi Arabia after a disastrous qualifying session. To sum things up, Hamilton has been struggling with his 2022 challenger.

In his recent Instagram story, Hamilton penned down “When you wake up to start your day or even if your part way through it, tell yourself, “I am going to be better than I was yesterday. I can do this, I am great and powerful beyond measure and I won’t let anything get in my way” you got this.”

How the last few months have been for Lewis Hamilton?

The 2021 season finale is still fresh in everyone’s mind. That deep lunge down the inside saw Max Verstappen take the Championship away from Lewis at the very last lap of the very last race of the season. It is believed that the Mercedes man was devastated after the race and stopped making public appearances for weeks.

Fast forward to this season, the Mercedes power units underperformed from the very first race in Bahrain. Despite making some improvements in the recently concluded Australian Grand Prix, the F1-W13 is still behind Ferrari and Red Bulls in terms of pure pace.

However, with the eighth world title in mind, Lewis returned to take charge of his own destiny. Despite the huge anticipation of another Max Verstappen-Lewis Hamilton rivalry looming large, things didn’t turn out the way everyone expected.

As of now, the Mercedes maestro stands in P5 behind his teammate George, with 28 points. Even though Hamilton has 3 point cushion over last year’s F1 Champion Max Verstappen, he’s far behind championship leader Charles Leclerc. Leclerc leads the standings with 71 points after three races.

As the opening three races haven’t been convincing for Lewis, his dream of breaking Michael Schumacher’s record seems to be in jeopardy. With Charles Leclerc of Ferrari and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen looking stronger for the F1 title, Hamilton and his team need to get back into the game before it gets too late.
