Man Utd legend Wayne Rooney wishes son Klay good luck as eight-year-old heads off for first ever football tournament
WAYNE ROONEY was a proud father on Monday as son Klay left home for the first time.
Klay, eight, set off for his first football tournament away from home representing Manchester United.

And he looked the part in his United tracksuit and matching suitcase.
Proud dad Rooney shared a photo of his second eldest son on Instagram alongside a caption that read: “First tournament away. Good luck Klay.”
Former TOWIE star Mark Wright commented: “Bless him.”
And others wished Klay well, one follower writing: “All the best kid.”

Another added: “Following in his father’s footsteps .”
And a third said: “Better than all the forwards in the first team. Good luck .”
Klay’s elder brother Kai, 12, also plays for Untied at youth level having signed a contract with the under-12 team in December 2020, after turning down a number of other clubs.
He recently hit the headlines when he scored a brilliant curled effort in a match against Manchester City.

Rooney senior was also in the limelight over the weekend – for the wrong reasons.
He slammed referee Tim Robinson for failing to award his Derby side a penalty as they trailed Swansea 2-1 on Saturday.
Rooney called for Robinson to be banned and fined for his decision and now faces an FA sanction for his comments.
