One of the biggest debates surrounding the world of basketball is the Michael Jordan vs LeBron James debate. The two are widely regarded as two of the greatest players to play in the NBA.
While the two are very hard to compare, there is a longstanding theory used by LeBron fans. According to them, Jordan faced very little competition, especially during his initial years, that helped him achieve success quickly.
In a resurfaced video from 1984, Jordan is seen being heavily guarded that bashes the long-standing myth among LeBron fans.

There is no denying Michael Jordan and LeBron James are two of the greatest players ever. While it is a tedious task to compare the two, fans of both camps always find a way to undermine the other. One such theory used by LeBron fans is that Jordan played against easy opposition and illegal defense rules.

In an old clip that has resurfaced from 1984, Jordan put all the myths to rest. We can see a rookie MJ taking the game-winning shot and is continuously double teamed.
Despite being double teamed and making contact before taking the shot, there is no foul. This happened to be during MJ’s rookie year, in which he dominated the entire league.
After an incredible first season with the Chicago Bulls, His Airness won the Rookie of the Award for the 1984-85 year. He averaged an incredible 28.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5.9 assists in the 82 games he played.

MJ played for the Chicago Bulls for almost his entire career. He won 6 NBA titles with the Bulls before joining the Washington Wizards for the last 2 seasons of his career. Jordan established himself as one of the greatest players ever during his 15 years in the NBA.
Apart from 6 NBA titles, he has numerous individual accolades to his name. Jordan was an All-Star on 14 occasions, 10 times scoring champ and was adjudged by the Defensive Player of the Year for the 1987-88 season.
