Nicholas Latifi Reckons He Could Still Defeat F1 Teammate Albon Despite Poor Australian GP Outing

2022 has brought new regulations to F1. This has also led to the revival of a lot of teams like Ferrari and Williams. However, Williams’s revival has not translated to outright success with a mixed bag of results. Nicholas Latifi has struggled while his teammate Alex Albon has fared much better.

However, Latifi still remains optimistic about his chances this season.

Misfortune for Nicholas Latifi in 2022

Nicholas Latifi is having a very difficult start to the season. He has managed to only finish one of the first three races. Whereas, his teammate Alex Albon just scored the first points for the team in the Australian GP finishing P10.

In a recent interview, the Canadian said, “It’s been a difficult start to the season and there’s still a lot to find on my side.”, acknowledging his horrendous start to his season.

Latifi also spoke about his performance against that of teammate Albon, “If Alex is able to extract this performance from the FW44, there is no reason why we can’t in the other car.”

He also remained optimistic about his chances in the coming races, “Now we’re going to spend a lot of time going through the data and figuring out how we can make it work.” Latifi’s Performances are a major point of concern for Williams who will be hoping to continue this upwards trajectory.
